Highlights

Brixen has been putting on its town festival in the medieval streets every second year since 1978. It lasts three days and always attracts thousands of visitors from far and near. In will open on the Friday at 5 p.m. with the ceremonial entrance of the organising committee with honorary guests, an opening parade with horse-drawn coaches, riders on horseback, groups in traditional costume and music bands. Over 50 associations will spoil visitors with South Tyrolean food specialities and wines, and of course the festival will be accompanied by a full supporting programme including musical performances, folkloristic and theatrical events.
