Twice the enjoyment factor
Hiking in medium range mountains and the summit region
If you spend your hiking holiday in Brixen, you will have the opportunity to discover all South Tyrolean altitude levels in the nearby area. The town is situated in the valley at 500 metres above sea level, surrounded by South Tyrolean landscape. You can enjoy hiking trips through orchards and along the river. The Eisach Valley mountain range with its chestnut groves invites you to hiking trips along the co-called chestnut road and other enjoyable trails, such as the Törggele hiking paths.
At an altitude of 2,000 metres or more, the Alpine meadows such as the Rodenecker Alm and the Lüsner Alm, the soft slopes of the Plose mountain and the straight limestone towers of the Dolomites ensure that hiking will be twice the fun.
Hiking tours for any condition
In the Brixen holiday region, the town and mountains almost melt into one. Hikers will enjoy the extensive hiking trails, the high-mountain roads, the European hiking paths, theme paths, climbing paths and summit trails. Everything is nearby and easily accessible due to the cabin railway to the Plose mountain. Snack bars and restaurants can be found in the town, as well as on the mountain. There are flexible cable railway tickets and nature in the town opens up a new way of hiking.
