Luce dipinta: Revolution, 2019
Alex Rowbotham connects video, photography, text, music and animation in his work to make videomapping. The artist illustrates the Revolution of the history of energy generation through water. The story begins 2,000 years ago when the Greeks used water wheels to grind gain. The story continues until 1800 when people learned to use the power of water to generate energy. In 2014, 17% of the worldwide generated electricity was produced using the power of water, of which 85% was renewable energy. The development in this field is unstoppable and is making great strikes. Revolution also demonstrates in an unabashed manner the consequences of these developments and appears to the viewer like a mirror of Society.
