The German and the Austrian railways DB and ÖBB take you quickly and comfortably to South Tyrol.
Every day there are several direct connections to Bressanone in the heart of South Tyrol. From Munich modern Eurocity trains run 5 times a day directly to Bressanone. The journey takes 31/2 hours.
The train is a particularly good alternative mode of transport for long distance travellers, e.g. from Hamburg or Cologne: The ICE takes you to Munich and then on to Bressanone: fast, no stress, no traffic jams.
The DB-ÖBB Euro City offers comfortable seats with plenty of freedom of movement - also for the children - and delicious meals in the on-board restaurant. Your holiday starts from the moment you board the train - at very reasonable prices. The 2nd class Saver ticket starts from 39.00 Euro; the journey is even cheaper on short distances, e.g. from Munich from 29.00 Euro (depending on availability).
Tip for families: Your own children and grandchildren up to 15 years travel free of charge when accompanied by their parents or grandparents (entry on ticket required)! More information
