When does the Brixen Water Light Festival take place?
The festival will take place in Brixen in the evening from 9-00 pm during May, some installations are accessible also during the day.

The Brixen Water Light Festival is a day and night festival.

Day Time (Brixen): 5.00–8.30 pm: Schenoni Area, Urban Lab: last entry at 8.00 pm | Franzensfeste Fortress: 10 am – 6 pm
Do I need at ticket for the festival?
Most of the installations are freely accessible and can be visited daily from 9.00 pm to midnight. To see five exceptional installations in locations opened exclusively for the Water Light Festival © you need to buy the Festival Pass Ticket.

How much electricity does the Water Light Festival consume?
Compared to 2022, the electricity consumption of the light art installations in the year 2023 has been reduced by 50% this year, from 10 MWh to 4.5 MWh. By switching off street lamps and outdoor lighting, we save approximately 3 MWh during the festival. This results in a net consumption of 1.5 MWh in 19 days.
