Here, water is never just background noise. It is origin, lifeline, promise. On 22 March 2026, Brixen turns its full attention to this element that sustains us – quietly, faithfully, indispensably. We stand together to make a clear statement: greater awareness, shared responsibility and respect for our most vital resource.

AT THE SOURCE

How does water reach our glass? And what happens before we drink it? Stadtwerke Brixen invites visitors to discover the spring in Schalders. During free guided tours, the precision, technical expertise and continuous care required to ensure safe drinking water become tangible. Registration at www.asmb.it. Places are limited.

TRACES IN THE WATER

Thoughts, wishes, reflections: as part of the participatory initiative “Traces in the Water”, residents and guests are invited to record their words in waterproof booklets. These contributions will form part of an installation at the Water Light Festival (29 April – 16 May 2026) on Cathedral Square.

REFILL – A MOMENT OF AWARENESS

From 22 to 29 March, the Refill video will be shown at the Tourist Office, Acquarena and the Stadtwerke premises. Not a lecture, but an invitation: to see water not as a given, but as a shared good. Every everyday decision leaves a trace – even in the unseen currents that shape our lives.
