Many wine producers around Brixen offer sales, tastings or guided visits, but not all are open to walk-in visitors at all times. Booking in advance is therefore usually advisable. Vines around Brixen grow in one of Italy’s northernmost wine regions. Vineyards occupy sunny slopes at different elevations, while the nights remain comparatively cool. Wine can be enjoyed in Brixen throughout the year. Spring and summer suit vineyard walks and tastings, while autumn brings the harvest, Törggelen and young wines.
