Sunrise at the Gabler summit
Morning dew on the meadows, shining mountain peaks and smiling faces. This feeling when you stand on the summit in the morning and watch the first rays of sunshine is indescribable!
On 5 Fridays in July and August, the Pfannspitz gondola lift departs in the early hours of the morning for a special ride. It takes you from Skihütte up to the mountain station at 2,500 metres. From there, trail no. 7 leads to the summit of the Großer Gabler at 2,576 metres. The hike takes about 45 minutes. You should be sure-footed for the last part as the climb to the summit is a little steeper over stones. Enjoy the peace and quiet on the mountain and the awakening of the day. Because a sunrise on the mountain is something very special.
Breakfast on the MOUNTAIN - a MUST
After the spectacle at the summit comes the enjoyable part: the Pfannspitzhütte hut, the Rossalm hut and the Berghotel Schlemmer restaurant offer a regional breakfast. Reserve your breakfast directly with the huts.
You can do the sunrise tour alone or with our hiking guide Helmut. Registration for the ride with the Pfannspitz gondola lift is not necessary. Registration is only necessary for the guided tour.

Equipment: Headlamp, good shoes, weatherproof and warm clothing (hat, gloves) are recommended.
Prices special ride gondola lift
24.00 €, with BrixenCard/SummerCard 18.00 €
Junior (< 18 years): 20.00 €, with BC/SC 16.00 €
The special tickets are available in the morning at the valley station of the Pfannspitz gondola lift. There is no reservation required.
The return trip with one of the open lifts is offered within the regular opening time from 9.00 am.
