Climate

Onionlab is a multidisciplinary art and design studio based in Barcelona. Their work covers art as well as design and technology and always starts from a graphic concept and detailed ideas, which are translated into projects with technical innovation and aesthetic approaches.

Especially in the field of 3D mapping, Onionlab is constantly trying to develop further and adapt their often site-specific projects to unique locations and situations.

As part of the Water Light Festival 2024, Onionlab will be presenting their stimulating work Climate on the facade of Brixen’s Cathedral: a 9-minute audiovisual piece that presents visitors with a dilemma. Which world do we want to live in? A dystopian, dry and grey world marked by the consequences of the climate catastrophe or a bright and harmonious world? The colourful and harmonious future is juxtaposed with the horror scenario in a projection and moves people to choose hope.

The projection repeats every 15 minutes and takes place at these times:

• Sunday - Thursday: 21:00 - 23:15 (start of the last show)
• Friday & Saturday: 21:00 - 23:30 (start of the last show)
