GIULIO BOCCARDI | SETTE ARRESE

Vertikale

Sette Arrese is a site-specific performance that transforms devotion into strength. For seven days, the artist Giulio Boccardi remains suspended in the air, raising a white flag every 24 hours at sunset – a poetic and symbolic gesture against violence. The work invites the audience to immerse themselves in solitude, physical challenge, and self-reflection, consciously experiencing tension, calm, and the pause of time. This ascetic practice of surrender becomes an invitation to reflect on ego, empathy, and peace. Each sunset marks a new beginning, and the performance guides visitors through an intense emotional and sensory experience where presence, symbolism, and contemplative calm intertwine, opening their perception to the power of devotion.
