LYSTEATER | IMAGINE PEACE

Frauenkirche church

Imagine Peace highlights a female perspective on war and peace, shaped by the physical experience of motherhood as well as flight and displacement. While men start wars, they remain the children once born of women. From a mother's perspective, every child possesses a unique, unconditional value, whereas war erases individuality and subordinates human life to abstract ideas. At the heart of the performance is a sand animation created through light and projection. Fleeting images form before the audience, creating a visual dialogue that focuses on the fragility and intrinsic value of human life, evoking empathy and enabling reflection on peace, responsibility, and compassion.
