The Brixen wine scene
Grapevines wind their way along the steep slopes all around the town of Brixen. The mineral white varieties of Sylvaner and Kerner are typical of the region, but the numerous local winegrowers also produce wines with a wide array of flavours and aromas. Every year, awards go to Brixen. No wonder because the wines of Italy's northernmost wine-growing region have character!
