A lively food festival
Balmy summer nights, chilled wine and delicious plates of food… On one evening every year, Brixen’s cathedral square hosts a food festival celebrating the finest summer dishes which the town’s inns have to offer. And the best thing about it, of course, is that you can try a bit of everything. Plus there’s a great atmosphere thanks to the South Tyrolean musicians who put you in the mood to dance the night away.
Spring awakening
Close your eyes and imagine lush meadows, apple trees in full bloom, warm rays of sunshine drying the dewdrops glistening on the grapevine leaves, and the sound of music drifting through the air from the open wine cellars. On the last weekend in April, Neustift/Novacella near Vahrn/Varna comes alive for its spring festival. Tastings, guided vineyard tours, pony rides and regional products bring people together to share in the joy of this beautiful time of year.
